About the video: Portrait
Overview
“In this lesson, you will learn how to sketch a portrait as I am used to. I am starting with the linework without any previous construction. First come the eyes, and this is the most important part of the portrait, as it contains the emotion of the subject. I will sketch quite slowly to be as accurate as I can. Then I will follow with the nose, the mouth, and the hair and draw the contour of the face. Once the linework is done, it’s time for watercolor, using my 3 primary colors. ”
In this video lesson Lapin addresses the topic: Portrait, which is part of the Domestika online course: Urban Sketching: Express Your World in a New Perspective. Rediscover your surroundings by creating watercolor sketches of people, places, and fisheye perspectives.
