About the final project for: Introduction to Sustainable Graphic Design

Introduction to Sustainable Graphic Design

“!! Congratulations!! We have already reached the end of this course, thank you very much for staying with me until the end. I hope that this course has helped you and that you can put into practice everything you have learned in your day to day life. Next, we are going to see step by step what we have to take into account in order to make our redesign more sustainable. Initial analysis and concept You will have to make and retrieve the briefing of the project to be redesigned in order to prepare an ecobriefing . We must detect at what points there is a great environmental impact to change and redesign it. Next, we will do the initial analysis. It is very important to know the market and the competition. We must know how we want to position the brand and analyze the sector from an environmental point of view. Then we will work on the concept to start developing our project. For this we will make a mood board that will serve as a guide and inspiration.

Choose the materials and production technique We will choose the most suitable material for our project and we will try to minimize its environmental impact. We will look for a way to optimize the format and not generate waste and we will look for more efficient production techniques and finishes.
Final management We will think about what happens when our design reaches the consumer and we will try to extend the useful life or give it a second life. Finally, we will take into account the final management so that everything can return to the chain, can be recycled or decompose naturally.
Remember that the important thing is to be aware when designing and take into account all phases of the life cycle to generate less impact. Let yourself go and enjoy the process. Research, experiment and test. You can take this project as far as you want. As I have done, show me in the forum the final result of your project and the steps you have followed to get there. And now I can only tell you that I wait for you in the forum, where we can comment on doubts, create an eco community to help each other and make it easier to keep up to date with how we can make a more sustainable design. See you soon! ;) ”
