“Framing Tips Now I'd like to tell you how I finish my pieces by framing them. I don't really frame them myself. I have them framed at a specialized workshop. There are some things to keep in mind when talking to your framer. First off, it's very important to use a mat when framing paper. The mat is this cardboard we see here, which is or should be acid free, so it won't make the paper yellow. It won't oxidize it. It'll stay the same color as when you bought it.
