Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

The whole course is structured really well in stages. Alex has a relaxed way of describing his methods and you can take on his advice and attempt to make it into your own style.

I really enjoyed tis course. Most of the information re watercolor was pretty basic, but it was presented in such a clear, concise way that it served as a good review. Alex Hillkurtz's personal feelings about the special charms of watercolor gave me a new appreciation of the medium. I especially enjoyed his discussion of shadows in a painting. His personal history is interesting, but I was left wondering what inspired him to move to Paris. The architecture?

Very good, Mr Hillkurtz spoke slow so we have time to register his teaching. I was surprise how much I was able to get better, I will recommend him , Diane

Not what I had expected to get. No problem with the price I paid though. Not too much. I had hoped to learn a combined technique of watercolor and ink. What I got was mainly watercolor and in a way that lies far from my own style that is more leaning to realism. Also very little ink in the painting of this project. Far more ink in his sketchbooks, so at least Ihave some examples how it could be. I want to loosen up my style but the style of this painting is too far from what I do. Disappointed!
