Architectural Sketching with Watercolor and Ink

This has been a really helpful and insightful course for me. As someone just starting out with using watercolours and ink, it has given me invaluable tips on how to improve as I develop my own style. I will definitely be reviewing the material frequently over the next few weeks as I work on my art. Thank you.

Well ... what to say ... after the first lessons I started not sleeping anymore thinking about perspective and colors ... I started walking down the street moving my fingers to draw, which caused some perplexed glances from passers-by ... in short it has become something like an obsession .. Alex is a generous and wonderful teacher.I Highly recommend it.

I thought the course was excellent. I liked Alex's style of delivery; it was calm and understated, but his love of what he does comes through. I also really like his work. The course was encouraging about how it takes time to develop an individual style. The units I found most useful were on adding ink detail and applying the initial wash. I would have liked a few more exercises on applying washes, ideally, as I think that's particularly hard for us beginners.

This is an enjoyable and informative course. Alex has a calm and pleasant delivery style and is clearly very knowledgeable about his subject, which he puts over very effectively . The course has clarified several technical issues for me, as well as some different ways of approaching a piece of work. Well worth a look.

Alex combines technical chops with relaxed, loose style. He makes architectural painting approachable while nudging students toward increased accuracy. I super enjoyed his class!

Thank you very much Alex. Today I finished my first painting ever. I see a million things I did 'wrong' ;) But I enjoyed it a lot. Ready for my next project! I totally recommend this course.

Alex has a clear, non wordy manner which makes understanding what he says easy for us beginners. He makes learning to sketch and use ink non intimidating. I’m amazed how much I have learned in a short period of time. I enjoy learning in my timeline and I often go back to review a lesson.

Alex is amazing and a true professional and creative, and this course is everything I hoped it would it be. Very well laid out, great deep explanation of tools, equipment and technique. A nice amount of material is covered with great exercises, and the steps of production were super helpful for me. A nice surprise at the end of the course was for Alex to go through his matting and framing process and material! The course material is great, and Alex’s passion made this course so enjoyable.

This course was a good starting point for the architecture subject.

I would recommend this course, the teacher is warm and friendly. He explains everything clearly and succinctly. His method is accessible and enjoyable.
