“STYLE GALLERY Before we create our final image, in this lesson, we'll see different styles so you can choose the best for your story. This type of illustration is more realistic, almost photographic. I want to show you alternatives to express other things. First, we can address the illustration in a more impressionist style. In this style, we make our image using thicker brushstrokes. We lose some of the focus on the animal's shape, but we have more expressiveness in the light and colors of the scene. Román García is not only an illustrator but also a biologist, and since 2008, he has been working above all on scientific and informative illustration projects. His drawings have been published in acclaimed magazines including National Geographic and Quo Magazine. He also collaborates with the Real Jardín Botánico in Madrid to produce illustrations for the CSIC's Flora Iberica project.
