“In this course I am going to explain the process of making a naturalistic illustration and its three main phases: the study, the sketching and the making of the final image. First of all, I will teach you to study the animal to collect the necessary references and resolve any doubts about what that species is like when painting it. You will learn to complete these references through anatomical sketches and photocomposition of various images. I will also share with you some tricks to solve the representation of various animal textures with ease. Finally, I will teach you the digital techniques to achieve two different finishes using Procreate. In the final project we will combine all the visual material that will emerge from the process in an infographic that serves to explain the characteristics of the animal that you have chosen. Before starting the process, you must choose the protagonist of your illustration. Luckily the animal world is so interesting, diverse and beautiful, that we will surely get an attractive illustration. Try to choose an animal for which it is relatively easy to collect information, even better if you know it well or if you can see it live. ”
