“COMBINING HAND LETTERING & ILLUSTRATION In this lesson we'll make thumbnail sketches combining lettering and illustration into a cohesive design. Thumbnail sketches are a way of coming up with ideas for the final design but done in a way that is really really quick. I like to work within a few seconds of each idea and I like to try to get as many ideas down as quickly as possible. I tend to work very fast but until the point where I exhaust the ideas that I could possibly come up with for this. This helps in a couple of ways.
