Draw Yourself: Weberson Santiago

Brazilian illustrator Weberson Santiago travels back to the past, analyzes the present and makes predictions about the future in his Domestika self-portraits
Weberson never was very good at sport. All his talent seems to have been poured into illustration and (to a lesser extent) storytelling. Although he claims he’d rather listen to other people, he certainly has a very relaxed way of telling his own story.
In addition to writing children’s books and working for the press (he has been published by Brazilian magazine Veja and the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper), he also illustrates books and magazines for numerous Brazilian publishers along with board games now available in several countries.
Domestika wanted to find out more about this incredible illustrator. So we invited him to draw his memories and self-portraits representing different phases of his life: the past, the present and the future. The result was a very relaxed encounter with Weberson’s various selves.
Don’t miss it!
