How did illustrator Mauro Martins start drawing? Did you know he lives in Brasilia? In this Draw Yourself, Martins recalls moments from his childhood, explains the concept of Brasilia, and defines the essential ingredients of a perfect city.
Mauro Martins (@mauromartins) was born in Brasilia and graduated in Graphic Design, working for 13 years in large advertising agencies as an art director. He left the agency world to focus on his work as an illustrator and has since worked with major brands such as Absolut, Amarula, and Domino's.
Ranked in the top 200 illustrators today by Austrian publishing house Lürzer's Archive, one of the most important in the world, Mauro is an expert in doodle style art and his compositions are universes full of fun, color, and personality.
In the following video, Martins recalls important moments from his childhood through illustrations and defines the characteristics his perfect city needs.
