We asked the Domestika community to share the female animators they most admire. Among them, are creatives from all around the world, many of whom also have backgrounds in illustration and design. Get to know them all!
Animator, director, producer, scriptwriter, composer, singer, and LGBTQ+ rights activist, Rebecca is the creator of the cult animation series, Steven Universe. She is the first woman to independently create a series for Cartoon Network.
Illustrator and 3D artist from Mexico, Cecy experiments with animation, sculpture, figures and 3D printing. She teaches the Domestic course, Introduction to the Creation of Characters and 3D Modelling with Maya.
Loulou is one half of the duo that make up animation and illustration studio Loulou & Tummie, in the Netherlands. Their colorful characters inhabit vibrant worlds. Despite having a simple appearance, they are designed with great care where no detail is accidental.
