We are finishing the year, and it is time to take stock. There have been many good projects published in the community. These projects have not only educated us but also moved and inspired us. The great majority of the projects that have received the highest ratings from the community correspond to work done with what has been learned in the courses. Seeing how their authors have taken the time to explain and document the creative process is lovely.

TOP 1 - My project for course: Daily Sketching for Creative Inspiration by Chloé Levasseur @chloeve_levasseur
This project by Chloé, which has been the best rated of the year. A personal Inktober challenge where for 30 days her notebook was filled with nature, landscapes and memories of places visited has taken her to number 1. Enjoy some selected pages from her notebook, they really are fascinating. If you want to learn and get inspired we recommend the course I teach Chloé "Daily Sketching for Creative Inspiration" by Sorie Kim.
In this project, Andrea Jen has made a project in which the model was herself and where she tells the whole process she has done to get this finished. She works using colored pencils and watercolor, demonstrating the skills to create manga characters. In her course "Manga-Style Portraits in Watercolor", she teaches you how to do it.
TOP 3 - Wooden whale decorations by Luděk Burian @ludekburian
Ludek Burian is a self-taught woodcarver and puppet maker from the Czech Republic. He always encourages those without self-confidence, showing that you can go far by doing things as best as you can. It is fantastic to see the results he gets by carving Linden wood and then coloring it with watercolors. If you want to learn with him, we recommend his course "Wooden Marionettes: Making Puppets from Scratch".
TOP 4 - Cuaderno de viajes: documenta emociones y recuerdos by Aniko Villalba @aniko
Aniko is dedicated to writing, creating interactive books and doing writing and creativity workshops. In this project she has created a travel notebook with the challenge of documenting emotions, thoughts and stories.
She has used various materials collected during her travels to decorate the pages. Making this project allowed her to relive her experiences and enjoy a nostalgic trip. Do you usually save clippings, brochures and tickets from your travels? This is a good exercise to save them. I highly recommend her course "Travel Journaling: Document Feelings and Memories" to learn how to create a story with these memories.
TOP 5 - Mi proyecto del curso: Ilustración con papercut: crea libros extraordinarios by Julia Guevara (@juli_guevara)
Julia Guevara has created a magnificent papercut project on the book The Little Prince, inspired by Paz Tamburrini's course "Paper Cutting Illustration: Create Extraordinary Books".
Julia has carried out the project step by step, adding the carefully assembled covers. You can see the result in the photographs she shares in her project, where she demonstrates a remarkable ability to create books that escape from the traditional format using the papercut technique.
In this project of the course "Cardboard Sculptures for Beginners", Dimmalimm shows us the previous drawings and the result of the construction with cardboard of the head of his elephant of 140cm x 135cm, the truth is that seeing it in real has to be great.
TOP 7 - Il mio progetto del corso: Design per copertine di libri: ricrea un classico by Aronne Nembrini @graphicadia
In this project, Aronne covers one of the books he discovered as a child. The Canterville Ghost. It is well-documented work, showing his different steps to reach this magnificent result. If you are interested in the world of book cover creation, do not hesitate to visit this course by Rafael Nobre "Book Cover Design: Reimagine a Classic".
TOP 8 - My project for course: Dreamy Watercolor Landscapes: Paint with Light by Sarah Stokes @sarah_stokes
This is a final project of our teacher Sarah Stokes made in the course of another of our teachers Katarzyna Kmiecik - Dreamy Watercolor Landscapes: Paint with Light. We are fascinated by how great professionals exchange ideas and experiences to bring new perspectives and creation methods.
TOP 9 - Join me in Morocco to paint flamingos 2024! by Sarah Stokes @sarah_stokes
Once again, another magnificent work by Sarah Stokes has been very well appreciated by the community. She presents us with a watercolor work using a palette of black, ultramarine blue, magenta, and Winsor yellow. The technique includes masked areas, wet-on-dry layering, and delicate spray work for skies and clouds.
If you want to learn his technique, be sure to take a look at his courses. In this case, we recommend : Artistic Watercolor Techniques for Illustrating Birds.
TOP 10 - Mon projet du cours : L’art du sketching : transformez vos esquisses en œuvres d’art by Anne COLLET @pattesdeveloursandco
In this project, Anne shows us the sketchbook she has made with her five-and-a-half-year-old son. It is a natural wonder; look at the details, which will surprise you. Visit the course "The Art of Sketching: Transform Your Doodles into Art" sure you will be encouraged to make your sketchbook.
