This was excellent but this was a missed opportunity to see some of the techniques of this very talented artist. The course is predominantly about drawing and setting up a portrait with sketching and all the really long formulaic intro and outro stuff included in all Domestika courses. Only a very small section focuses on pastels. I was frustrated by lack of content about the medium advertised. These courses could cut out all the extraneous content and allow these artist to shine.

A very generous teacher - all the information was easy to follow and well paced for me. I expect it left everyone pleased to have learnt so much in one course. I found his encouragement about keeping sketch books really helpful. I like the idea that it is just for you and no-one else will judge it. Quite contrary to my default state full of judgments. Thank you.

Chris does a great job of helping you understand how to get the proportions right when drawing portraits and think in terms of values when applying color.

Yet another great course from Domestika! I'm really trying to up my portrait game, and I got so many amazing tips and techniques in this class.
