Pawel Zielinski born in 1993 in Poland grew up in the Eastern Bloc in one of the typical prefabricated buildings.
In his youth he developed a love for "the slab", especially the raw, rough forms and functional structural elements of the buildings. The aesthetics of his photographs are based on precisely this blunt mode of representation.
The deliberate choice of lighting conditions implements a night walk, often using artificial or cold light to further execute this illusion.
After his training as a photo media specialist in 2013, he moved to Berlin to gather new impressions. After a long inspiring time , he experiences a personal defeat a life crisis, through which he falls into a prolonged self-isolation.
His photography deals with this nostalgia and combines empathy with the loneliness of man.
Focus here is on the architecture of the city. There is another element of contrast in his work as a photographer:
Contemporary Dance, in its abstract execution, gives balance to the gray, depreciated backdrop of the city. In aesthetic research, his main focus is to create delicate, unique, elegant and intimate scenarios
