“Modeling Using Coils Hi. For this lesson, you'll learn how to model with coils, but we'll be using air dry clay. You won't need a kiln for this one. Ideally, you'd be using this for ornamental purposes. You can't use it to make a bowl or a glass that you'd then use as tableware. We'll be glazing them with acrylic. So keeping that always in mind, that's the purpose we'll give them. We'll be using the mold we made to make a bowl, a mushroom, using coils.
