“What you Need to Make Molds Hi. In this section, we'll go over the materials and tools we need to make a plaster mold. At the very end, I'll tell you the best molds you can use. First, let me tell you what we need. We'll be using these bowls you're seeing here as a mold. The bowl containing the plaster batch needs to be a lot bigger to fit the water-plaster mix. So the amount of water will be pretty much the same as the capacity of the bowl we're using.
