“In this lesson, we're gonna be exploring how to create your color map using Illustrator. Let's get started. Start with an 8.5 by 11 inch canvas board and import your image. Once your image is imported, as seen in layer one, let's go ahead and create a second layer. Once you have two layers, go ahead and lock the first one. Within the color mapping process, we will be identifying blocks of color ranging from the lightest to the darkest.
