“In this lesson I'm going to develop the shadows using a pencil. This should hopefully make the drawing seem even more realistic and have a 3D element to it. I'll start off using a 2H to layer up this shadow and move up higher into an HB. At this stage I'm also going to use the eraser to take away some of the construction lines and that will enhance the contrast between the light and the dark as well. I'm going to continue to layer up the shadow now and add more depth so I'll use an HB pencil which is a bit darker. I'll also start using a piece of paper under my hand as there's a lot of grap...”
