“Being a pattern maker means that I also get to design the patterns I use for sewing garments. Often it's the different pattern making techniques themselves that inspire designs, but I also draw from many other sources of inspiration. I don't have any favorite designers per se. It's more about singular designs or sometimes certain collections of different designers that inspire me. It's usually because their designs have cool details, shapes or textures that draw my attention. I appreciate these kinds of designs as works of art rather than something I would have in my wardrobe.
