So when you're tufting with any type of tufting gun, you're tufting from the back of your fabric. So another way of saying it is the side with the nails on is the side you will be tufting from and the front of your rug will be on the other side of your tufting frame. If you're doing a design that isn't sort of symmetrical, you're going to want to flip your design before putting it on your tufting frame so that it will look the same in the front.
