About the final project for: Commercial Illustration for Beginners

Business Illustration for Beginners

“You have reached the end of the course, I hope you had as much fun as I did. Throughout the course I shared the necessary tools to carry out an illustrated key visual about a brand or company, resulting in a main art and various commercial applications. Before I say goodbye, I'd like to show you an example of what I want to see from your course project: The brand Choose the brand or concept that you want to illustrate in the key visual and develop a brief that will help you in the following steps.

The mood boards Choose the references in mood boards and the elements to illustrate. Then create 3 sketches of the same key visual and choose 1.
The color Defines the color palette, draws the elements in detail and applies the color to all the elements.
The visual key Develop all the art of the Key Visual in a well-organized file.
Applications With the key visual, develop the other deliverables and prepare the final presentation for the client and your portfolio.
Remember that this is my creative process, but yours does not have to be exactly the same. You can take what works for you from my process and adapt it to your way of working. Each creative is different and that is what enriches the illustration, so experiment and have fun. If you don't have a client, let your imagination run wild and create one that represents challenges for you. Keep in mind that practice makes perfect; so don't despair if nothing goes as you thought, keep practicing. When your project is ready, share it by clicking "Create your project". In addition to photographs of each stage of the process. Also share a short text in which you talk about your experience in making it. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you've accomplished. I will give you feedback as soon as possible; however, I ask you to be patient, as it may take a while for me to reply to you. While you wait, I invite you to exchange ideas with your classmates. Remember that feedback makes us grow personally and professionally. Let's take advantage of the forum we have at Domestika to continue learning and growing together. See you!”

“We have reached the end of the course. I want to thank you for accompanying me in this process. I hope it has served you. Remember that illustration is not a linear process. Everything adapts to your needs, your tastes. I invite you to explore the style you want and above all that they practice. Remember practice is the teacher and nothing is written. My process is my process and hopefully this will help you explore new horizons. I also want to invite you to publish your project, both in the Domestika forum and in the networks. Remember that feedback helped us to be better professionals. An...”
