“ Choosing the Subject and Composition In this next lesson, I'll show you how I choose my subject and how I create a dynamic composition. First, I decide what subject matter I'll use. I want fruits most of the time, so I'll think about the color scheme that I'm looking for for my particular composition. I like to dabble and play around with different color schemes. My paintings are pretty vibrant. I knew that that was a bit of the color scheme I wanted. Then I wanted to take it a step further by adding a bit of pattern.
