“ Color Theory and Value In this lesson, I'll explain color theory and value. I created a color wheel to help discuss color theory. I started with a Windsor Red, a Primary Yellow, and a Cobalt Blue. In the wheel, I have my three primaries. When you mix those together, for example, the yellow and the blue, you get your secondary and tertiary colors. We have green and yellow-green. I've also added white for a value and black for a dark value. As you can see, across the color wheel, we have our blue and orange. Those are complementary colors.
