“ Rolling and Cutting the Slab for the Mug In this lesson, I'll show you how to roll out the slab and then cut the slab for our final mug. First, I'll cut a piece of clay out of this big bag of clay. It depends on how much clay you need for your project. On this one, I'll take a larger piece because we want enough slabs so we can practice our stamping. There are many ways to cut a chunk of clay off of your block of clay. I use a fettling knife but you can also use a wire tool. Whatever way you use is great. Always cover your clay when you're not using it. Air will dry it out and it will mak...”
