“In this lesson, I'm going to begin to select some of the motifs I just sketched and begin to plan my layout. Because my hero print is going to be very complex, I want to be able to sketch the layout first to kind of see how the motifs are looking before I actually create them. At this stage, I will typically do one of two things. If I am creating a print that is not very complex and just has one or two motifs, I might begin to finalize them first.
