Final project
“Hello again homie! We are done with classes but this is not over here yet. Do not even dream about it. I hope you had fun, enjoyed the lessons and learned some useful tricks. Do not forget to review the additional resources, attached documents and all the extra content that each of the units of the course contains, to get all the juice. You have the theory but to get the retro metaphorical (metaphorical) card and a certificate (very physical) signed by the most cool teacher on this side of the Mississippi, you still have to work out a great final project. Remember the goal: seek inspiration in past graphics and bring that visual world to the theme that motivates you most. It's about getting your own retro illustration, with personality, a taste for handmade and the paste that offers us a digital finish. I have found the perfect alibi for me in propaganda cartoon. You can do whatever you want and apply it to the format you want - a cover, a t-shirt, a package design, a skateboard, a series of portraits, a web banner, your business card, ... In the “Unit 2 ”you will find practices that will help you get your project going. When you grasp the idea, get the material needed to shape it on paper; you will work the composition and the lettering on the sketch and you will complete your drawing with an anthological inking. Then, in the digital plane, you will prepare some halftone patterns and textures to color your illustration. And ready! You just have to export and consume. You can watch the videos again as many times as you want. Take your time. Doing all the tasks in order will help you to assimilate the information and make the process progressive. That way you won't get frustrated in the attempt and have a good time, which is what it is all about. I encourage you to share in the forum every progress you make and to expose your doubts with me and with the rest of my colleagues. That way they can also help you and you learn and participate in what they share. Do not be shy or shy, this is in a wonderful community of human-cartoonists, totally free of haters. And last but not least, be patient when receiving feedback. For tutatis I will answer all your questions and I will help you to make your project a success. But if it takes a little while, I may be busy with some stifling deadline or fighting, always in good spirits and jokingly, with some client. Do not worry, I will return as soon as possible. A warm hug and a big greeting. See you on the forum! ”

“Extra! Final project. We have reached the end and in this last lesson We will review what was seen in this course. We start by creating our moodboard where we dump the references that interested us for illustration. Next, we took pencil and paper to shape our sketch Working the lettering and composition. The next step was to explain two different ways to prepare the drawing for inking. Later, I showed you the tools I use and I started my inking with the lettering and continued with the rest of the illustration. After the analog process, we scan the original in ink and we take it to the comp...”

Ink Bad Company
A course by Ink Bad Company
JC Guerrero is an illustrator based in Valencia, Spain. Under the name Ink Bad Company, his studio and alter ego, he has crafted a highly distinctive style with retro, pop-culture references and bursts of color. Growing up as a millennial in a small town near Jaén, Spain, he unwittingly began mixing an eclectic cocktail of references through his exposure to pop culture, creating a mental collection that would later serve him well throughout his career.
Around 2012, he began studying media culture and applying halftone patterns to his illustrations, reaching a turning point that gave rise to the stylized illustrations we see today. He preserves the magic of analog art, pouring all his creativity onto the blank page and embracing the quirky imperfections of handcrafted pieces. JC has worked for internationally renowned clients like Variety, Martini, Ray-Ban, and Under Armour, among others, creating illustrations and posters in the fields of advertising, editorial content creation, packaging design, and music.
