“ How to Make and Attach the Handles In this lesson, you'll learn how to make and attach your handles. As you see on the bag, they fit with two rivets on each end. This is a two-layered handle, so it's sewn together. We're starting with leather that's the same weight as the body. It's the same piece. It will be attached until it gets down to here. We need to leave those ends open so they can go on either side of the bag, so it can be attached with the rivets. You see here, I'm using these circles of leather.
