“ Building a Portfolio Previously, we scanned in and cleaned up our final artwork. In this lesson, I'll talk to you about how to build a portfolio. A good comic portfolio should show your ability to draw a wide variety of stories. Pin-ups and cover images are never enough. To be a comic artist, you must show you can tell a clear story. I suggest having three to four sets of two-page stories with a cover for each. Longer stories are good too but shorter stories are faster to finish, so you can move on to the next one which allows you to quickly demonstrate the range of subject matter you can...”
