“Painting in Watercolours While I wait for that to dry, I'll go back again to the cat's face. Now, it's dried in a subtle gradient and I wouldn't mind it being darker. To do that, I'll clean my brush and go back to the orange. I'll mimic what I did earlier so that I can layer up the values but also do another gradient on top. I'll find that orange... and add a bit more red because I want it to be a bit darker. I'll go back again and put where I want that shadow to go and leave this part here where I want the light to go.
