“ Tools and Materials In this lesson, we'll go over some of the tools and materials you'll need for this course. To start, we’ll use a mechanical pencil or any pencil that you choose. It can be a soft or a hard pencil. Either way, as long as you can sketch roughly. This is to use in your sketchbook or to do rough sketches for the final piece. Because I use a mechanical pencil, I use the Faber-Castell. I use these mechanical inserts and refills. Once again, you can use any other pencil that you choose. I use a rubber because of this.
