“In this lesson, I'll talk about some of the artists that have influenced my work. The first one is Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo is one of the most famous painters, and it's also the first female artist I was aware of. I really admire how she wasn't afraid of putting herself in the work, how she also dealt with identity, and that's something that I like to use in my work as well. Putting yourself in your own work sometimes can be very intimidating and very vulnerable, but it's something that I think adds some value to the work itself, so I like to take a lot of inspiration from her in that sense...”
