“Let's take a look at the type of equipment and materials we'll be using in this course. Let's start with cameras. The most important thing is that whatever camera you're using, that you can use it in manual mode. So it really doesn't matter whether you use a DSLR and mirrorless or even a compact digital camera. Any of them is fine, including a phone. If you do not have a camera, you can work with a phone and do this course with a phone. It also doesn't matter what brand it is. He has always been drawn to photography and has spent the last 20 years shooting for some of the world’s leading brands, including McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Snickers, and Stella Artois. He credits his creative practice to the natural landscapes and minimal design he grew up with in Switzerland, as well as the culture of dedication and patience that he experienced traveling to Japan.
Alongside working with clients, he teaches food and beverage photography at events such as the International Food Photo Festival in Spain and Denmark. He has also shot several cookbooks including Plantlab which was awarded #1 Cook Book of the Year and Best Food Photography of the Year at the Gourmand International Cookbook Awards. His work has been featured in Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Advertising Photographers Worldwide 12 years in a row.
