Sometimes I just put some odd pins in place and then I'll pull it away from the quilt and you want to get it as flat as possible. Again, you want to keep those edges lined up. and then put a couple, Two or three pins. I often will do three because this is such an awkward seam. I'll put three pins in place to keep it all tidy.
