About the final project for: Logo design: creation of monograms

Logo Design: Monogram Creation

“Now that you've read the end of the course thank you for your time and attention. It's been my pleasure to share my process and experience with you, and now it's your turn to create a unique monogram of your own. When working on the final project, please remember that your monogram has to represent you. I've shared the steps I would like you to show in your project. I think that sharing can help the rest of the community. 1. The warm-up: To warm up, create raw sketches on sticky notes. Carry your sticky notes whenever you go and draw the ideas throughout the day. Treat each sticky as a field for a new idea. 2. Sprint session: Once you have collected 20 sticky notes, you can get an A4 or an A3 piece of paper and do a sprint session. Ensure you give yourself a time limit and permission to experiment with various styles: line, single line, negative space, overlaps, transparency, woven effect, etc. Remember, quantity and variety are more important than quality at this stage. 3. Tracing paper: Once you've chosen one concrete logo direction, take a translucent paper and create its variations. Experiment with the composition, balance, shadows, and weights.

4. Digitization: Create a basic digital outline of your monogram. At the initial stage of digitization, treat your logo as a digital sketch rather than try to perfect it immediately. Focus on silhouette and foreground-background balance before moving on to the separate details. Create copies after each iteration. Once you have exhausted all of the ways of improvement, you can move on to the next step.
5. Gridding: Now, it's time to take care of the construction of the monogram. Replace already existing shapes with their geometric analogs.
And your monogram is done! The design world is generous and collaborative. The forum here is an exceptional space for designers to learn, be inspired, and help others. See you on the forum, and thank you very much.”
