“From Sketch to Ink The Fig Tree With the leaf’s tone done, we still have to draw the contours and make the secondary nerves a bit less prominent. They're the ones closer to the edges. We’ll do that by adding a bit more hatching on top of them so they don’t stand out as much as the main ones. The lines I’ll make now are hardest when the sketchbook is vertical. It’s a horizontal line, and I tend to avoid it. It was in architecture school that he began drawing in his notebook, trying to understand the proportions and material quality of buildings that he found interesting. Gradually, these notebooks became an inseparable element of his travels and his architectural work.
In 2018, he started an art project called ""One Day One Drawing"" in which he depicts his surroundings, family, and concerns on a daily basis. He has also created book covers for the publishing house Planeta, Spain and for Taller Talante, Colombia.
