Ilaria Caliri is a crochet designer who learned to knit, crochet, embroider, and sew at a young age. She studied architecture at university, but gradually discovered her passion for handicrafts and began to explore the art of amigurumi. In 2010, she decided to share her passion by starting a blog about it, which grew into a full-blown website by 2016, named after her personal brand: Airali design.
Ilaria spent several years living in London where she had the opportunity to work with textile artists as well as in a yarn store. She has published several books and currently collaborates with business and publishers as a freelance designer. She also runs her own online store where she sells digital patterns for anyone who wants to crochet their own amigurumi.
