“We draw the pug In this lesson we go into the detail of the pug sketch. When I think of a subject, I write down my first ideas, even if they are not 100% correct. Maybe there is something fantastic and imaginary which can be a good detail to personalize my amigurumi. Now let's start drawing our pug. Ilaria Caliri is a crochet designer who learned to knit, crochet, embroider, and sew at a young age. She studied architecture at university, but gradually discovered her passion for handicrafts and began to explore the art of amigurumi. In 2010, she decided to share her passion by starting a blog about it, which grew into a full-blown website by 2016, named after her personal brand: Airali design.
Ilaria spent several years living in London where she had the opportunity to work with textile artists as well as in a yarn store. She has published several books and currently collaborates with business and publishers as a freelance designer. She also runs her own online store where she sells digital patterns for anyone who wants to crochet their own amigurumi.
