With your pattern pieces in front of you on your final fabric of choice, it's important to know where and how to place them. Depending on the cost of your fabric, you may want to be as economical as possible, meaning that you will use as little fabric as possible. To do this, we would usually place any small patterns in between the gaps created by others. Curves for an armhole, maybe.
