“Choosing the Right Fabric In this lesson, I will share some tips with you about what fabric to use depending on the design you want to create. In front of me, I have three fabrics as an example on the fabrics you can use to drape with. To start with, I've got a calico, which is raw cotton. This is used a lot in fashion. We use it for toiles and for draping. It's also used as interfacing in tailoring to give your garments more structure. The interesting thing about calico is its grainlines.
