“ Measuring Your String In the last lesson, we went through the blueprint of the macramé wall planter. Now, I'll take you through the steps of how I measure and cut my ropes and strings. Looking at our frame, I always look for the widest point of the shape, which will be the middle of the circle, of course, and depending on how you design your fringe, I'll cut my skeleton rope to be about at least an inch to 2 inches wider than the widest point of the frame. When you're thinking about this, reference your sketch, because maybe you decided you wanted to play with the fringe length on one sid...”
