About the final project for: Professional Pitching for Documentaries

Professional Pitching for Documentaries

“Your time has come: follow these basic steps to complete your project. I invite you not to just copy my example, but to experiment and invent something new. First, identify your point of view on the story and your connection with it. Then write the concept. Remember, here you have to summarize all the elements of the story in a few lines.

Once the concept is prepared, write the synopsis. In this case, it is a real short story that illustrates the main plot of the documentary.
Now write the reason why, remembering the most original or most relevant points of your story.
Then make the list of respondents.
Finally, record the pitch if necessary. Share your project in the forum. Show everyone both the final result and the processing steps, documenting each step with an image and describing what you did with a brief explanation. As soon as possible, I will be happy to give you feedback on your work and answer your questions, but I invite you to take advantage of the forum to interact with the whole community of creatives: look at the projects of colleagues and encourage them by commenting on what they have shared. Thanks again for making this journey with me!”

So, the first thing to do when you have an idea is to write it down as you have it, in a few lines. Follow the simple rules of the five W. "Who, where, when, what, why". This way you will keep track of your starting path and you can come back to it after having gone through your entire resea...”
