“Basic Paper Techniques In this lesson, I'll teach the basic paper crafting techniques of cutting, scoring, folding and attaching. By the end of this lesson, I'll have made the pleated paper flower for the final project and the folded leaves. I'll start by showing you how to use a scalpel. I always use a Swann-Morton scalpel with a 10A blade, and mine's retractable for safety, but you can get one that's not. To remove the blade, I use pliers, hold the blade, pull it off. Like this.
