“Sketching the Design In this lesson, we'll sketch out the composition for our final design, either using Illustrator or by hand, whichever you prefer. I’ll start by showing you how to design it by hand on paper. I’ll start with a plinth on the base to ground the work. I don't want it to be too high, and your sketch doesn't have to be good just to plan out the overall composition. I'll start with a quarter circle, and a pyramid, and then a cube.
