About the video: Foil Wrapping
Overview
“Now we will be covering the part of the process that makes the Tiffany method so unique―the use of copper foil tape and solder wire. We will discuss how to properly clean the glass so the copper foil tape adheres tightly and so our glass doesn't carry any smudges from the earlier steps of the process. Finally, I'll also tell you about the different colors and widths of foil tape, and how to properly burnish the tape to the edges of the glass. A course by Molly Jackson
Molly Jackson is a self-taught American stained-glass artist and founder of Cedar+Spruce Studios, which opened its virtual doors in 2016. Her creative journey in the world of stained glass art began in high school at the age of 17. She credits an inspiring art teacher who dug up supplies from the art closet, and together, the two learned the basics of glass cutting and soldering.
Molly later went on to study speech language pathology at university, but in searching for a creative outlet, she rediscovered her passion for stained glass. After years of patience, determination, and willingness to learn from her mistakes, she went on to become a full-time stained-glass artist and Cedar+Spruce Studios has gone on to release pieces that regularly sell out.
