“In the last lesson, we designed our piece and picked out our glass. And now in this lesson, I'm going to show you how I like to press flowers. I like to use books to press my flowers. So I put flowers in my book and then I go ahead and typically just use another stack of books to apply pressure evenly throughout. I also make sure to use hardcover books when I'm pressing my flowers. since that hard cover allows even pressure as well. But if you don't have a whole lot of heavy books at home, you can just use really any heavy object that can lay flat on top of the book. And make sure that the ...”

Her creative journey in the world of stained glass art began in high school at the age of 17. She credits an inspiring art teacher who dug up supplies from the art closet, and together, the two learned the basics of glass cutting and soldering.
Molly later went on to study speech language pathology at university, but in searching for a creative outlet, she rediscovered her passion for stained glass. After years of patience, determination, and willingness to learn from her mistakes, she went on to become a full-time stained-glass artist and Cedar+Spruce Studios has gone on to release pieces that regularly sell out.
