Dive into the materials needed for this course, from edible gel to gum paste. Then learn how to prepare your cake for fondant with ganache, taking into consideration things like the ganache ratio and the temperature of your workspace. Cynthia talks you through how to use gum paste, floral wire, and tape before moving on to finding inspiration for your design concept. Plan and create your color palette by mixing toning gels, sugarpaste, and fondant.

Time to bring your design to life! Learn how to cut, wire, and shape flower petals using modeling tools. Then explore leaves and branches before moving on to creating a marble texture and wrapping it onto your cake tiers in preparation for the final composition.

Place your sugar flowers onto your cake, using your initial sketches as a guide. Then, to finish the course, Cynthia guides you through taking professional-looking photos of your cake art on your smartphone and preparing them to share on social media.

She painted murals at school and went on to study graphic design at university, minoring in fine art.
