“How to Varnish Your Finished Work We have the finished frame. In this lesson, I'll show you how to apply varnish to help bring out the wood grain and to help perfect the final piece. You might be happy with the way your frame looks, so you can leave it like that, although I would advise adding some finish because it helps protect the surface. I'm going to be using an Osmo Uviwax. It's a type of wax and it has a UV filter in it so that the colour of the grain doesn't change over time. Wood grain is prone to discolouring and this will help to counteract that. I've stirred the wax thoroughly. ...”
