“How to Approach Drawing In this lesson, we'll see how I create the designs for my marquetry pieces. I often start by drawing by hand and then I create mockups on Adobe Illustrator. For my final project, I want the mirror frame to be inspired by a trip to Seville, so I've collected some objects that I have brought from there, and other things that remind me of that time. I'll start by sketching them out on a piece of paper as I see them. I've put together an arrangement and I'll start sketching it out. Then, after graduating, Chelsea began working in her studio in East London, where she puts the skills she’s learned into practice.
She specializes in creating original, contemporary pieces of art, furniture, and small products using the woodworking technique of marquetry. Her work has been featured in publications such as Elle Decoration, OEN, Country Living, This Girl Makes, and Fudge. She has also exhibited her work in different exhibitions throughout London.
