I make a range of small products and artworks from the technique of marquetry. Marquetry is a woodworking technique that's been used for centuries. Chelsea Vivash is an artist and designer from Worcestershire, England. Growing up, she always wanted to be an artist and spent most of her free time making things before going on to study Fine Art at Edinburgh College. Alongside painting, she spent time in scrapyards, collecting and transforming things into art. She continued her studies in furniture design, metal, and woodworking in Amsterdam and London. Then, after graduating, Chelsea began working in her studio in East London, where she puts the skills she’s learned into practice.
She specializes in creating original, contemporary pieces of art, furniture, and small products using the woodworking technique of marquetry. Her work has been featured in publications such as Elle Decoration, OEN, Country Living, This Girl Makes, and Fudge. She has also exhibited her work in different exhibitions throughout London.
