This is an excellent drawing course!

This is the best portrait drawing course I've seen so far. It covers basic proportions, 3 dimensional structure, and emphasizes light and shadow. All steps are demonstrated and explained with a reference photo. The teacher is clear and understandable. Very practical. I am experienced but learned several new insights.

This was an excellent course and has really helped me move forward in my portraits. His explanation of the Loomis method and approaching the sketch by concentrating on five values were just what I needed to grasp, and I think I did get it. Very enjoyable and worth every penny.

Am still in the midst of this course but so far it has been really interesting. The explanation about the Shadows, Midtones and mistakes that differentiate a beginner artist and advanced artist is really interesting too. Although things are pretty technical for a beginner / noob w no formal art training like myself but I think with time, I will be able to grasp the concepts!

I do like this course since Sam has an interesting approach to the shadow and light issue. I learnt a couple of new things and I have now a proper insight of portrait drawing in a different way. Nice one really.
